  2. Faith Formation:

    • Engage in Scripture studies to deepen understanding.
    • Explore Apologetics to strengthen faith and address questions.
    • Foster spiritual growth through various faith-building activities.
  3. Support for Young Believers:

    • Provide a supportive space for young believers to navigate life.
    • Encourage the integration of Christian values into daily living.

SEAS Pastoral Council Youth Ministry Report – May 2024
Our final middle school and high school gatherings for this school year were on Wednesday, May 15. They were very well attended. Simon Elfrink, the new Associate Director of Youth Ministry for the diocese, dropped by our high school group. He had a great time meeting our youth and Youth Ministry team. He’s excited to serve the youth and youth minsters of our diocese. We will resume our weekly gatherings on Wednesday, September 11.

During the summer, in place of our weekly times, we will meet monthly with middle and high school groups. Our June event will be a softball game on June 9 here at SEAS. We have invited the area Catholic youth groups to join us. It should be a great time! The plans for July are not yet finalized and August will be a pool party.

We continue meeting with the KRUNCH group monthly throughout the summer. This group is for youth in grades 3-5 during the 2023/24 school year.

We have a group of 35 youth and 6 adults attending the Steubenville Conference at MSU on July 5-7. It should be a great conference.

We will also be attending Camp Covecrest July 29- August 3. This is sure to be a fantastic time of spiritual growth for our young people.

Due to scheduling conflicts and difficulty getting volunteers, Youth Ministry will not be holding a garage sale this year. This information will be published in the upcoming bulletin. We are encouraging those who support our sale to be sure and donate their items to the Harvest Home sale. We plan to replace this with another fundraiser, so please stay tuned.

If you or any other parishioners have questions about Youth Ministry, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

As always, thank you for all you do for our youth!

Respectfully submitted,
