Where life-long friendships begin & grow

Additional Community Outreach

Sacred Heart Cold Weather Shelter (CWS) is 1 of 8 mostly faith-based operated and funded cold weather shelters in Springfield. Sacred Heart operates two days a week (coldest days) serving 25 homeless men. They provide overnight shelter to those living on the streets of Springfield. Sacred Heart being a small parish always needs support in prayers, volunteers and supplies in delivering this CWS effort. SEAS members are active in volunteering as well as other members of our Springfield parishes.  “One Church - East to West” (our Diocesian’s Mission) is working at Sacred Heart CWS. Over-night shifts are difficult to fill and could use help.
