Dear Parishioners,
“In God’s good time, everything comes to those who patiently wait.”
What is the Lord asking of us now? Listening to our dreams, knowing our mission as a Catholic community, and a great need to provide the necessary facilities for our journey of faith we have the call of addressing our spiritual growth.
As your pastor, I wish to share with you the priorities that have been in the planning stages and not yet achieved. The time has come for us to resume our plans for the construction and remodeling of several building projects for our vibrant and active parish community. Our building committee has been working hard to prepare for this next growth spurt of our parish.
The first area to be addressed is relocating St. Vincent de Paul & Ozark Food Harvest food supplies. We have a vibrant ministry to the poor. The space required for the physical needs of those whom we serve is located on the stage of the parish hall. Before we can begin on the parish hall, we will need to build a space for our ministry for those in need at another location on our parish grounds.
The development of the ministry to the poor has inspired a multiuse facility that will also provide additional space for our parish’s activities. This would involve building an independent structure that would house services to those in need and space for parish events such as the men’s club fireworks & Christmas tree sales, family picnics, garage sales, Harvest Home, and a variety of gatherings. By building the new multipurpose building it allows for additional meeting and event rooms in the building as well as the parish hall.
After the construction of this building on the northwest corner of our property we could then begin the renovation of the parish hall. The renovated hall will house a variety of parish gatherings as well as new kitchen facilities. The large space will provide separate meeting spaces and will accommodate special events, groups, gatherings, luncheon/dinners and many more activities.
In addition, to the multi-purpose facility and parish hall other updates to our facility will also be included such as addressing security needs, electrical upgrades to aging panels and lights, and upgrading existing bathrooms.
The building committee has selected Nabholz Construction company after reviewing several firms. Nabholz worked well with us on the construction of the new gym and youth room. We do have substantial funds that have been earmarked for these projects, however with the magnitude of these important projects will need to hold a fund drive to raise the total amount.
As we move forward with planning and preparation there will be comprehensive information provided as we begin with the details of fundraising and schematics of our moving forward in living our faith, asking God’s blessings on our ministry, and growing in our love of God through our actions. Please pray for the “success of our hands”.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
